Hello all,
BCVRS understands that the process for CRTC can seem overwhelming or cryptic with technical language. We understand.
We have, as well as the Ontario Video Relay Service Committee (OVRSC), e-mailed with the CRTC directly, asking for further clarifications, especially on the submission process for video messages to the CRTC.
As a result of these communications, we came up with this PDF document, click here, and posted on our webpage bcvrs.ca, please check it out: http://bcvrs.ca/2013/05/ step-by-step-instructions/
The GOOD NEWS is you CAN post comments in your language – ASL, just follow the step by step instructions!
If you were a participant in the Telus-Sorenson VRS trials, please don’t just post comments that simply say, “I want VRS,” Â Please share your PERSONAL STORY, your personal EXPERIENCE with Video Relay Services (VRS), for example:
–Â give real life examples of how VRS benefits you personally. how?
– have you used VRS before?
 – Where were you?
– Who were you calling? Â was it your doctor? was it Service Canada? did you order pizza? order a taxi?
– What was the experience like, what was the difference between VRS and TTY Relay or IP Relay?
– Did you find it easier? faster? Why?
– How did VRS make it easier for you?? Why was it better?
The CRTC is interested in hearing real life impact stories.
