Sign Language Interpreter — Abbotsford School District
- 10-month continuing unionized position, Mon–Fri 8:35 AM–2:28 PM (subject to change by school placement)
- $32.65/hour, full-time, permanent
- Start date: September 8, 2026

- Role: Interprets/transliterates ASL/English or Manually Coded English for deaf/hard-of-hearing students, staff, and parents in classrooms, assemblies, and meetings; supports IEP process; assists with student progress records
Requirements:
- Grade 12 equivalent + BC Interpreter Training Program graduation
- 1 year deaf studies
- Min. 3 years interpreting experience
- Membership (or eligibility) with AVLIC and WAVLI
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Proficiency in ASL/English or Manually Coded English
