Dear members of our Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Interpreting and Medical Services Community in BC,
The Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (WIDHH) is the provider of Medical Interpreting Services (MIS) for BC. For the past several years, services for MIS on Vancouver Island has been subcontracted to the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre (IDHHC) in Victoria and we thank them for their services to the MIS program.
Starting Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 8:00am all MIS services will be provided through the WIDHH Vancouver office. This will help to create consistency in services across all regions and improve our medical interpreting services across the province.
