We have some exciting news! WIDHH has received money from the Federal Government to participate in a Wage Subsidy Program.
We will be able to support 10 clients through this program where they will be eligible to receive money for living expenses, sign language interpreters, transportation costs, disability supports, hearing aids, etc.
The intent of the program is to support clients while they are developing new skills and working with a case manager to find and obtain Full Time employment.
When a client finds a job, WIDHH will be able to subsidize the cost of their wage during their training period. This is to encourage employers to hire our participants.
We are so excited to get the word out about this new program and assist people in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community to find jobs!
