UBC Department of Linguistics ASL Teaching Position

UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA DEPARTMENT OF LINGUISTICS

LING 447H – American Sign Language – Teaching Position Available

Course:  LING 447H – American Sign Language (3 credit course) in term 2 (January – May 2018), Lectures on Wednesdays/Fridays 11:00am-1:00pm.

The stipend is ($6,264.00 at step 1) per 3 credit course. Salary may be higher, based on years of experience.

The position involves teaching at the undergraduate level. A graduate degree in an area related to ASL is desirable, with native-level competence in ASL as well as the knowledge and competence to introduce Deaf culture. All applications received by October 21st 2017 will be given full consideration.

Please note: All courses are subject to a minimum enrolment. If this enrolment is not attained prior to the start of classes, the course may be cancelled. There is however no anticipated difficulty with this minimum in regard to LING 447H.
