Indian Summer Festival – Graphically Speaking
Indian Summer Festival wants to let you all know about how their Graphically Speaking event (on July 14th) will have ASL-English interpretation! At this event Joe Sacco and Molly Crabapple will be interviewed by the award-winning Indian novelist Raghu Karnad. However, interpretation will be cancelled if nobody requests before July 7th!

Hello everybody! Indian Summer Festival will be having a variety of events (July 6 – 15). They want to let you know about one called “Graphically Speaking”.
At this event, the award winning Indian novelist Raghu Karnad will interview two graphic artists. The first graphic artist is Joe Sacco, a very well respected graphic artist who has published various books such as ‘Palestine’ – very powerful. The second graphic artist is Molly Crabapple, who is involved in an array of projects. Her memoir ‘Drawing Blood’ is a bestseller. This is the first time they will meet, they will be interviewed by Raghu and discuss the role of the artist in these turbulent times.
When: July 14 from 8pm to 9:30pm
Where: SFU Woodwards Campus – 149 West Hastings St (Hastings & Cambie)
Cost: $18 advance, $22 at door
ASL-English interpreters are booked but if nobody requests interpretation by July 7th, interpretation will be cancelled.
