a contracted Respite Caregiver with ASL skills

The Developmental Disabilities Association’s Children’s Respite Program is seeking a contracted Respite Caregiver with ASL skills to work in East Vancouver with an active and social 9 year old male with autism who uses ASL to communicate. He enjoys swimming, sports and other active outings, and is independent with personal care. 

Respite is requested for Friday and Saturday afternoons (3-6 hrs depending on caregiver’s availability) for active community outings, to give parents a break. Regular rate of $12/hr applies.

To become a Respite Caregiver, candidates must have a clear criminal record, 2 work references (or 1 paid work and 1 volunteer), and a valid First Aid CPR certificate. If you are interested, please contact Beatrix at bsantorelli@develop.bc.ca
