Medical Doctor –
the good, the bad and the funny!

About  the  Presenter:

Jessica Dunkley, Jessica was born with a hearing loss, attended preschool at the Vancouver Oral Center and the BC School for the Deaf at Burnaby South Secondary. Jessica went on to study Physical Therapy at UBC, becoming a Registered Physiotherapist. After practicing for a year, she returned to university to complete her Doctorate in Medicine. Jessica recently started her five year residency training program to specialize as a dermatologist in Vancouver.

This workshop will be a shot in the arm for inspiration and hope for parents of deaf & hard of hearing children in B.C. Come and laugh, be inspired and share some of Jessica’s frustrations and solutions in her journey to becoming a medical doctor and educating a system on how to provide access to a person with a hearing loss.

Cost: Free, but we REQUEST that you RSVP to: fndc@fndc.ca Sign Language interpreters will be provided Note: FNDC’s AGM will follow the workshop and begin at 11:45. Lunch will be provided!
