Hand Made Heritage Project Announcement

You are invited to participate in New Horizon’s “Hand Made Heritage” Project!

What it is: This project will start a ASL discussion between Young Deaf and Deaf Seniors. Participants will be part of making something to preserve Deaf Heritage for future Deaf generations.

How: This project will explore ways to improve future Deaf leadership roles and Deaf Culture by exploring the Deaf past. The final product will be shared with the public in early 2018.

Why: Focus will be on the decline in Deaf leadership and participation of Deaf cultural life here in Vancouver.

When and Where: Participants will decide together the time, day and location of of meetings. Participants will commit to meeting regularly for 5 to 6 months.
