“Making a Career in Tech as People of Colour”. ASL interpreters provided

A little about TechInColour: Last year I started a community group and a got a grant to start this community project called TechInColour where we create events focused on tech and giving platform to people of colour to share their voice and showcase their skills. I started this group because I felt that there is a lack of representation of folks of colour and other communities in tech companies, tech conferences and tech community.
We’ve recently been highlighted in the Georgia Straight. Our first public event is happening this week on Jan. 24th 6-9pm at Chinatown House, by donation or free. Registration is required. Full details and tickets can be reserved on our eventbrite page. This event is open to everyone. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion and learn from each other, we have speakers from VR/XR, Data analytics and UX design industries.
