He points at word ‘mayor’ and says “Tough” then pointed at word ‘city councillor’and says “You can.” Then pointed at word ‘School Trustee’ and said “you can”.
I will provide a workshop on Aug 15, Monday, 7:00PM PST, evening. We will be on Zoom, hosted by GVAD I am very thrilled to give details how to do the process of applying and running for the office. Any one can apply. Aged 18 or 19 and above, canadian citizen. That it is. Saying “I can’t, I have no no experience”, no don’t worry I will explain and give a lecture.
Four provinces will have elections in this fall – BC, Manitoba,Ontario and P.E.I. All in 2022 Fall. Early or later, it depends on your city. You can research it yourself for example, your home at ottawa, you can type in google “Ottawa elections 2022” it will load up results on how to apply and everything else, research on it. Then watch my workshop, I’m glad to provide help.
I’ve experienced 8 year ago, School Trustee Board, 4 year ago, I’ve experienced trying run for city councillor I really enjoyed the experience. Fun. You can. Deaf can. Why not? It’s time for deaf to show up and in public office, for government. It doesn’t matter if it’s city-level or provincal level, or federal level.
But this year, 4 provinces in this fall, the cities in BC, Manitoba, Ottawa and PEI. Take the opporunity.
See you on Monday on Aug 15th, at 7:00PM PST on Zoom. [Points at screen then wave]
