WIDHH-a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist

The Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (WIDHH) is a unique non-profit service organization serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Our Agency provides services in Audiology, Counselling, Sign Language Interpreting and Communication Devices. We are located near Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver, and offer a competitive salary and benefits, a friendly and dynamic work environment, and a chance to make a difference. We are looking for a dynamic and energetic person to fill a full-time position.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist

Duties include greeting clients, administering the telephone and voice mail system, processing financial transactions, and other duties as assigned. Strong organizational skills and clear communication are essential for this position. The Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is a bilingual environment (ASL/English), preference will be given to those with knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL).

Skills Required:
High School Graduation
Good clear speaking voice.
Ability to communicate effectively with Deaf, Deaf Blind and Hard of Hearing individuals.
Work independently with minimum supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills in person and on the telephone.
Good Computer skills, data entry and word processing and networked Windows environment.
