Helping Others
Tammy, GVAD Secretary is signing in the vlog with black background.
Transcript below.
Many of us are helping each other and that’s AWESOME!
It has come to our attention that there are some people who are in need of groceries but do not fit the criterias of our agencies mandates.
These individuals are falling through the crack. There are some people who are either not qualified for Employment Insurance (EI) or Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), or haven’t yet received funds.
We are looking for members in the community who can contribute financially to people who need groceries. The funds will go towards food gift cards or e-transfers. Donors will not be announced publicly.
The people who demonstrate the need for groceries will be screened on a case by case basis. All cases will remain anonymous citing privacy reasons.
Please contact gvadoffice@gmail.com if you need help with groceries.
Stay safe
Practice social distancing
Keep washing your hands as often as you can for 20 seconds
