Come and celebrate the BC Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf’s (BCRAD) 1 year anniversary bash! This is taking place on the third floor at Numbers Cabaret. We have a fabulous hilarious bartender who can communicate in ASL and can take your drink orders straight up! The bartender’s name is Mitch. Come on out and meet him.

Please bring some cash to donate to show your support to BCRAD. BCRAD relies on donations, fundraisers and memberships in order to keep BCRAD alive. Lets help and keep BCRAD alive for many years to come.

Bring your funky hats to show your pride and support for BCRAD. Best funky hats will be awarded with a prize.

Munchies and a large cake will be provided on the behalf of BCRAD.

We will have door prizes, raffle tickets, and give away prizes.

Hello,
I’m an MFA candidate at SFU. Currently I’m working on a performance as a
director. It’s a dance- theater piece and the whole idea is based on ”
Performativity of words”. It’s a research that I’m doing between Linguistics
and Performance Studies. That’s why I’m trying to find a person who knows
sign language and I also prefer him/her to utter the words a bit. So basically I think I would need more a deaf performer.

My performance would be on next Monday, October 20th. It would take just 15
minutes at SFU downtown, Woodwards. I will need the performer for one or two
rehearsals before that day. And the performer wil just seat on a chair and
will say the text.
I really appreciate if you forward this email to people who might be
interested in collaborating in an artistic project.

with best regards,
Pegah Tabassinejad
