WHAT GVAD HAS DONE DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL

GVAD is supporting the Happy Hands Club’s field trip through the donation from a Vancouver organization. The HHC will have its tour on May 15, organized by Ronald Fee.

GVAD assisted the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovations in organizing a special session for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community to present ideas to the “White Paper” on Access for People with Disabilities.

GVAD sent its two written documents to the White Paper team – making recommendations to remove barriers faced by Deaf and Deaf-Blind people.

GVAD negotiated a deal with Rogers for a better data plan. Check deafbc.ca for details.

GVAD supported the CAD Project for Deaf Girls and Young Women workshops at BCSD and future workshops in the Lower Mainland.

The GVAD is sponsoring the special event– the 36th Annual CornFest at RCCC on August 17 Sunday.

GVAD found a place for the Deaf/Blind Drop-in every Friday at the Old Navy Community Room from 11 am to 2 pm.

GVAD welcomes the Deaf Darts Club.

Watch for the advertisement for a Smartphones Workshop provided by GVAD at the Old Navy Community Room on May 28 (Wed.) from 6pm to 9pm.
