For more than ten years, the Nordic Racers Ski Club has been offering a Learn to Loppet program to help skiers of all levels improve their ski skills. For the ?rst time ever, we are expanding the program to include skiers who are deaf and hard of hearing by offering a Deaf Learn to Loppet program with a registered sign language interpreter. Whether you want to cross country ski just for fun or want to compete at the Dea?ympics, our Deaf Learn to Loppet program can help you reach your cross country ski goals! During the 2013 ski season, the Deaf Learn to Loppet program will run on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm until 8:30pm starting February 6th. Each 2-hour on-snow session will be led by a certi?ed coach who will work with a registered sign language interpreter to ensure you receive direct instructions and feedback. After each ski, you’ll be able to take part in our club’s Wednesday night free hot chocolate event at the Hollyburn lodge – the perfect way to end an evening of skiing at Cypress Mountain! A minimum of 4 skiers who are deaf or hard of hearing are needed to have this program start so please register early!
