Newsletter – Day 4
First Day of Competition:
Women’s Volleyball, Team Canada had their first game in the morning against
Argentina who is consider to be the favorite to win a gold medal during Pan
Am Games. During the first set, Canada had their jitters and was in trouble
but losing the 1st set 25 to 15, However, they woke up and worked hard which
is much improvement from 1st set though they lost the 2nd set 25 to 23. The
final set was a tight match and hard fought but, lost the 3rd set 25 to 20.
Kim Keba stated that it is first time to have a team together to play match
game and try to make the chemistry work however, they learned a lot during
the match game and hope to improve their game strategy for next 2 games.
They will be playing against Mexico on Sunday June 17th at 8H30 (Brazil
Time).
