LOOKING FOR SIGNERS + CREW FOR TV SHOWS
H3 Network Media Alliance, a not for profit organization, is looking for
fluent signers
and crew members for both freelance paid contract, and volunteer positions
in downtown
Toronto area during evenings:
MALE & FEMALE SIGNERS:
Paid positions – for those who have lot of experience meeting deaf people in
different
countries around the world. These signers need to be comfortable
communicating with
foreign deaf people in front of video camera. Knowledge of International
Sign (IS),
the official language of World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and the
Deaflympics would
be helpful.
SIGN COACH:
Paid position – to translate English scripts to be signed in International
Signs (IS).
Should have translation experience or be familiar with IS and able to coach
ASL signers
to present reports in IS.
WRITER/SIGNER:
Paid position – to research and compile list of suitable phrases, and sign
phrases in
International Sign (IS).
VOLUNTEER POSITION:
For someone who keeps current on, and follows, events and sensitive topics
within the deaf
community, can identify, research, write and sign on specific topic for
discussion in
International Sign (IS).
ASSISTANT VIDEO TECHNICIAN:
Needs basic knowledge of videography and editing in Final Cut Pro. We will
provide training
on lighting, chroma keying, subtitling and uploading to server as needed.
All positions are evenings during the week. If you are interested in

be two auditions (“interview”) dates:
WHEN:
Thursday, January 26th, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 28th, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
