Deaf Literacy Initiative-Survey

The Deaf Literacy Initiative is doing research trying to find the answers to this question:

Why are so many Deaf and Deafblind Canadians unemployed or underemployed?

We are doing this research to help discover gaps, barriers and opportunities that can used to help improve the employment outlook of Deaf and Deafblind Canadians.

Our study has a national focus and we are trying to get as many people across the country to fill out the survey. While our focus is Deaf and Deafblind Canadians we want hearing Canadians to answer the survey as well so that we can use as comparison.

The survey can be found at:

We can also send you a paper version of the survey. The questions in the survey are asked in both ASL and English.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
Thanks for your help!
