Visual Description:
A portrait-format event flyer with a cream background. The centre features a dark, moody photograph of a large institutional building overlaid with the bold white title “THESE FOUR WALLS.” A row of six gold film festival laurel badges sits below it, alongside a photo of five panellists on stage, some using wheelchairs and walkers. The right side has a teal-bordered info panel. The footer is a solid dark red bar with the GVAD website and tagline in white.
We at GVAD are hosting a DeafDisabled Education Event at Douglas College on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Join us for a screening of “These Four Walls,” a documentary about the history of institutionalization of disabled individuals in Canada, followed by a guided discussion on how that history shapes how disabled people are viewed in society today.
Date: Saturday, June 20, 2026
Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Location: Douglas College, Lecture Theatre N2203
The event is hosted by Brayden Walterhouse, a DeafDisabled community member working with GVAD and its board members.
