Call for applications: Canada’s Volunteer Awards’ National Advisory Committee

The Government of Canada, through the Department of Employment and Social Development, is seeking volunteers for its Canada’s Volunteer Awards’ National Advisory Committee.

The volunteer Committee is made up of 15 members that show passion and commitment in the field of volunteerism. ESDC is seeking candidates with experience working or volunteering in the not-for-profit, charity and business sectors. Persons with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, women, visible minorities and other under-represented groups are encouraged to apply. The Canada’s Volunteer Awards’ National Advisory Committee proudly represents Canada’s cultural, linguistic and regional diversity.

Volunteers selected to be National Advisory Committee members will have a mandate to:

  • assist the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development on all matters related to the selection of award recipients for 2021, 2022 and 2023.
  • play a critical role in the selection of Canada’s Volunteer Awards by reviewing nominations and recommending the award recipients each year; and
  • support the promotion of the program throughout their term.
