Hey everyone,
Happy September! I’d like to share my experience.
Today I participated in a webinar provided by Small Business BC, it was very accessible and I was impressed. I am not sure if anyone was aware, so I wanted to share so others could benefit and perhaps participate/join if they were interested.
It turns out that it is AccessAbility Month from September 2 to September 30th provided by Small Business BC, along with partners The Presidents Group  Office of Small and Medium Enterprises and Community Futures Enterpreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP)
There are a whole list of workshops and webinars ACCESSIBLE with interpreters and captioning provided.
With my first webinar today I was able to adjust the screen to enlarge the ASL interpreters, I watched the streamed captioning on a separate screen and I was able to download the presentation and outline and as a bonus I was able to get the captioning transcript sent to me afterwards. Â If you want to join, I would suggest to have two separate devices to stream the video and chat box and the captioning on a separate screen to make it easier, for example one laptop, and one tablet (ie. iPad) or separate screen/monitor.
Also, it is not publicized, however it was mentioned today that  these webinars are recorded, and these recordings including the ASL interpreters are available for those who missed the webinars.
These sessions are excellent introductions and resources, comprehensive and interesting for anyone who might be interested.
