Deaf Children’s Society – Help Deaf and Hard of Hearing Kids in BC

Deaf Children’s Society of BC (DCS) is a registered charity and not-for-profit agency that provides resources, programs, support and information to families with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children from birth to age five. Currently we are the ONLY organization in British Columbia providing pre-school and daycare services in American Sign Language, which is primarily how our clients learn to communicate and function in the world. 

Delivering these services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing children costs approximately $50,000 per month, and we need your help!

Without our services, children aged 0-5 in British Columbia would be underserved and miss out on crucial language development, hindering their ability to learn, function, and limit their opportunities in the world.

We believe that all individuals have the right to communicate, be understood, and participate fully in their own family unit and the community. Using a family-centered approach, the professionals at DCS offer their expertise and guidance as families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children navigate through opportunities for speech, language, education and communication. Now established for 39 years, Deaf Children’s Society provides crucial services in the Province of British Columbia to a highly unique, low incidence and vulnerable population.
