Job Summary:
The Front Desk Receptionist works as part of a team to greet, welcome and directing visitors appropriately. Notifies Wavefront staff of visitor arrival. Responds to enquiries about Wavefront services, programs and products on a multi-line telephone, TTY and email. Reports directly to the Executive Assistant & Facility Manager.
 Work Performed:
- Greets clients as they arrive; direct them appropriately; advise of any scheduling delays
- Administer the telephone and voicemail system: answer and direct incoming calls, take detailed messages as needed
- Ensures reception area is tidy, presentable and welcoming
- Provides relief reception services to the front desk
- Provides general information regarding external services
- Process financial transactions and produce invoices
- Management of mail/deliveries, assists in general monitoring of security, assists with event/meeting management, responsible for staff and janitorial supply needs
Qualifications:
- High School Graduation
- Excellent interpersonal skills in person and on the telephone – clear speaking voice
- Ability to communicate effectively with Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing individuals
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision
- Proficient computer use in a networked MS Office Windows environment
- Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility is a bilingual environment (ASL/English), fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required for this position.
