Rick Hansen Foundation Awards YVR Highest Certification for Accessibility
On December 5, 2018 Vancouver International Airport (YVR) was awarded the ‘Accessibility Certified Gold’ rating through the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) program. Not only is YVR the first airport to receive this rating, they are also the highest rated building in the program. Canada supports Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
BC, along with Canada, supports the Optional Protocol to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, with the support of all provinces and territories. Canadians now have additional recourse to make a complaint to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities if they believe their rights under the Convention have been violated. Call for Proposals for Inclusion BC’s Annual Learning Event, Inclusion 2019, Now Open
Inclusion 2019 marks Inclusion BC’s 43rd annual learning event, and it will be held in Victoria BC from May 23-25 at the Victoria Conference Centre. Highlights of the event include keynote speakers, a tradeshow, events and networking breaks, and marketing materials.
