Special Announcement about Sign Language Interpreting program at Douglas College

Hello  BC Deaf Community,

We are writing to let you know the Sign Language Interpreting Program at Douglas College will not be admitting new students for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Due to the low number of students currently attending the prerequisite program at Vancouver Community College, we will not have enough eligible students next year to run first-year classes in Sign Language Interpreting.  We fully anticipate completing a regular intake the following year.   

Students who are currently enrolled in the program will be able to continue, and we will run a full range of second-year classes for them in the 2019-2020 year.
