Remembering Lois Kohare

LOIS KOHARE May 19, 1938 – Jul 8, 2009

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Kohare with family at her side on July 8, 2009 after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Ernest, daughter Shelley (Bob), Son Alex (Betty), Robert, Bryan (Chrissy), brothers Fred (Georgina), Gerald (Marion), Jack, Bruce (Lil), and sister Maureen (George), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her faithful companion Moppy. She is predeceased by her Mom and Dad. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Christine Morrison Hospice for their loving care and respect. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 17 at 3PM at the Northside Community Church, 33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to the SPCA in memory of Lois. If we could have one lifetime wish, our dream that would come true, we`d pray to God with all our heart, for yesterday and you.

Hello Lois, your bright smile and your kindness will certainly be missed by us all! Rest in Peace, Lois.

  • Henry and I extend our sympathies to Ernie and Lois’ family and friends on the passing of Lois. We didn’t know Lois as well as others did, but her smiling face was always wonderful to see when we met at Deaf events. She had energy and a committment to activities that she was involved with… the community shares your loss. Rest in Peace, Lois.

    Leanor and Henry
