We are currently seeking to fill the following full-time position: Medical Interpreting Services (MIS) Dispatcher
Job Summary
The MIS Dispatcher is responsible to receive all calls pertaining to requests for booking ASL interpreters for medical situations and to select and assign the interpreter best suited to the stated needs of the appointment. This position reports directly to the WIDHH Interpreting Department Head.
Work Performed
- Prioritizes medical requests for interpreters
- Schedules and assigns interpreters to medical appointments
- Participates in the preparation of assignment forms for appointments
- Manages online interpreter scheduling database
- Uses email, text, Skype, video phone, Facetime, voice phone, TTY, and fax to communicate with public, interpreters, and medical professionals
