We would like to respond to the following questions in relation to the nomination of candidates and the election results.
***REMINDER: The deadline to nominate a candidate is TOMORROW, Friday, January 23. Nomination forms received after this time will not be accepted***
To nominate a candidate, two (2) forms must be completed and returned (see the attached blank forms):
Candidate Nomination Form (to be completed and returned by the Registered Stakeholder)
Nominee Attestation and Consent Form (to be completed and returned by the nominee)
Question 1: Can a Stakeholder nominate more than one candidate?
Answer: Yes.
Question 2: What are the requirements for the candidate biography that needs to be submitted?
Answer: All nominees must submit a short biography with the Nominee Attestation and Consent Form that meets the following requirements:
Nominees for the ASL Director or ASL Permanent Invitee position must submit a written bio in English (max 1 page) or a video in ASL (max 3 minutes)
Nominees for the LSQ Director or LSQ Permanent Invitee position must submit a written bio in French (max 1 page) or a video in LSQ (max 3 minutes)
Nominees for the TSP Director positions must submit a written bio in English or French (max 1 page)
Question 3: Will the names and biographies of all nominees be posted?
Answer: Yes, the name and biography of each candidate will be circulated on January 26 with ballot forms to allow stakeholders to exercise their right to vote.
Question 4: Will the name of the stakeholder who nominated a candidate be published?
Answer: Yes, this information will also be circulated on January 26.
Question 5: When the election results are released, what information will be provided?
Answer: We will release the number of votes received by each candidate; however, how each stakeholder voted will remain confidential.
