The OVAD, with funding granted by the Deaf Community Foundation, will have a First Aid Course taken at St. John’s Ambulance in Kelowna on April 20th.
The course is all day from 8 – 5. The cost is free for all Deaf from the Okanagan area. There is a limit of 18 people so please get your registration form in.
Lunch will be provided from a deli called Zia’s Italian Deli.

At the end of the course day you will have to do a test. Note that in order to be certified in the course students must demonstrate all of the required skills and pass the examination WITHOUT the aid of an interpreter (the interpreter may provide assistance in the learning components of the course but not the examination as we must test the student’s knowledge and skills, not the interpreter’s).
