BCDSF is looking for candidates to be part of the Mission Staff (two positions) in preparation and support of BC Athletes attending the Canada Deaf Games in Edmonton, Alberta, May 12th – 19th.

Expected Duties of Mission Staff
Ø Be involved in the arrangement of transportation to and from Edmonton, Alberta
Ø Reserve and arrange roommates at the Athlete Village
Ø Collect signed Code of Conducts (Athletes, Managers, Coaches, and Chaperones)
Ø Be involved in ordering and distribution of Golf shirts
Ø Obtain current address, emergency contacts; medical/allergies history
Ø Assign Chaperones to Athletes under the age of 19 years
Ø Prepare a final list of Team BC and forward to CDG by March 31 with support of the BCDSF office
Ø Ensure that Team BC follows the Rules and conducts themselves appropriately
Ø Submit a final written report to BCDSF no later than 30 days after the CDG
Ø Provide a written article for BCDSF’s newsletter.
Candidates interested in the above position shall have the ability to make excellent decisions independently and within the Mission Staff team and be able to communicate in ASL. The ability to get the job done within a short time frame and able to work under pressure, if necessary, are desired.
