The Capilano Review is pleased to invite you to the launch of our Fall 2026 issue! Guest edited by Mercedes Eng, Carcerality and Care asks us to imagine and activate a world without prisons: to think beyond Western carceral logics and realities, and to unsettle the colonial-settler mentality of punitive justice. Please join us on Friday, November 6 at 7pm at Vines Den (825 East Hastings, Vancouver) for the issue launch, featuring Manuel Axel Strain, Caspar Blanchard, Cecily Nicholson, and jaye simpson.
This event is free and all are welcome. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. ASL interpretation will be available.
