Enclosed is the attached 21-page article of Jo-Anne Robinson’s Life and Times – once an all-time swimming star and a long-standing contributor towards Deaf Sports and Culture in Canada. It features many photos and achievements throughout her career as an athlete and a contributor. Her lifelong endeavours towards the Deaf community of any kind are huge. After her death, nothing can fill the emptiness of a world around us without her.
We will always carry the heavy burden of her untimely death in our hearts. We will take her legacy of fearlessness, involvement and adventure to heart by living every day the way she lived hers.
More than anything else, upon the tribute being delivered to hundreds of Deaf people across Canada, we as Deaf citizens or athletes want to thank everyone for recognizing the unforgettable legacy of Jo-Anne Robinson. We will always remember the joy and light Jo-Anne brought into our lives as her soul rests in peace. Finally, we thank you for honouring Jo-Anne.
