Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Website and Translation Engagement – We Want to Hear from You!

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has initiated two important projects – redesigning the VCH website and reviewing VCH translation practices. Since the start of the projects, the Community Engagement team has hosted 17 focus groups with different interests and needs, including focus groups with CEAN (Community Engagement Advisory Network) members, Punjabi-speaking seniors, Cantonese-speaking and Mandarin-speaking members of public, Farsi-speaking newcomers, youth, seniors, service providers, Indigenous service providers and community members, Deaf, Deaf-Blind and hard of hearing Community Advisory Group, staff, medical staff and other general public. We have received feedback from more than 100 people. A big thank you to everyone who has been involved so far – your input is greatly appreciated and will directly inform these two very important projects.

There is another opportunity to provide input. We have launched a general population survey, which will help us reach an even wider audience. If you have 5-10 minutes, please complete the survey to share your thoughts, and also feel free to distribute widely to anyone who might be interested.

The input received across all engagements will be consolidated and included in two reports, and the findings will directly inform the redesign of the VCH website and creation of translation standards and practices at VCH. We are looking forward to sharing the findings with you.

If you have any questions about these or any other engagement projects at VCH, feel free to email us at any time.

Kind regards,
