Travelling Europe as a Disabled Couple

 

 

 

 

 

 

Disabled Community Connection Network (DCCN) is a monthly communication and information group for people of all ages (16+) with any disability. This group is hosted by the North Shore Disability Resource Centre. This group is facilitated by and for people with disabilities.

The next group is August 20th, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. The session will be held on Zoom – Email laur.stinson@gmail.com for login info. Please let us know of any accommodations you require. 

The session will focus on the topic of, “Travelling Europe as a Disabled Couple ” This session will feature Shayne De Wildt and Stacey Francis as they speak on their experience travelling Europe together in the summer of  2019.

Bios below:

Shayne De Wildt:  Has been living with Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegia since birth. Shayne works as a Community Based Support Worker at the North Shore Disability Resource Centre. When he is not working Wildt is travelling and exploring the world. His hope is to empower people to be as independent as possible within their means in whatever that looks like for them.

Stacey Francis: Living as an Indigenous Woman with Cerebral Palsy has shaped the way Stacey views and interacts with society. She got her diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling from Douglas College. Stacey is an Educational Assistant for the Vancouver School Board. Providing support to students with disabilities. I have Traveled to Toronto, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Europe.
