GVAD President’s Message
To: GVAD Members and Friends
Date: September 17, 2008
Subject: GVAD Annual General Meeting
We regrettably decided to postpone the GVAD Annual General Meeting from Friday, September 19th to tentatively November 14th. The Board is acknowledging that they are overwhelmed with unexpected tasks including at the office including a computer crash. GVAD’s status is good; however, it is currently understaffed. A few positions and contract proposals will be posted shortly.
We are pleased to extend the deadline of September 30, 2008 for special membership rates to November 30th. Special new or renewal membership rates are $5.00 for 1 year or $10.00 for 2 years or $15.00 for 3 years. A special membership application form can be requested by emailing to GVAD Office
Our contractor, Cecilia Tung, for producing newsletters for the GVAD terminated the contract due to her new full-time job which limits her available time for other tasks. Our warm thanks to her for working and volunteering at the GVAD.
Please accept our humble apologies for any inconvenience to you. The GVAD values excellence in membership. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve this association we encourage your support.
Friends of the GVAD Members are cordially invited to the Annual General Meeting in November.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to write us at GVAD Office
Regards,
David Nielsen
