0

We are looking for highly qualified, energetic, motivated, and highly skilled individuals who have a proven track record of success in Deaf Education and/or who are recent graduates with high probability of experiencing great success in this field . Fluency in American Sign Language is essential, with a Master’s Degree or higher in Deaf Education preferred. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as a team member to support a very progressive team which is on the leading edge of practice and innovation within a student-focused approach. This is for a grade 7-12 position for which we would look at matching teacher skillset and areas of specialization to program needs wherever possible. Our focus is finding someone with the right skillset who can add value for our students and be a sustainable collaborator on our team. We are a team that is extremely focused on expanding beyond bilingual/bicultural approaches to education into a new philosophy which supports the whole child across multiple languages/modalities, cultures, and identities.

If you know anyone who is highly qualified and who may be interested in joining our team, please let them know that they can check out our website (http://schools.cbe.ab.ca/b806/student_services/DHH.htm) which has updated information about our program as well as the official job posting link (http://www.educationcanada.com/browse.phtml?sid=ab&eid=544&jid=89469&a=jlp). Individuals are also welcome to email me directly at ejcroft@cbe.ab.ca for further information or to let me know that they are applying so that we can make sure to connect with our human resources and staffing departments about their application.

Please feel free to pass this email along to anyone you know who may be a good candidate, or anyone who may know of someone else who would be a good candidate.
