Auxiliary Classroom Assistants 

& Classroom Assistants/Personal Care Attendants

To provide 1-1 support for students with disabilities in classroom.

Qualifications  

• Experience working with disabilities populations.
• Fluency in ASL and good communication skills.
• Ability to take notes, scribe, and assist students with technology (i.e. laptop, assistive communication devices).
• Ability to perform personal care duties. Preferred training in care aide/health care work.
• Assist students in navigating around the campus.
• Assist students in accessing personal items and classroom materials, as needed.
• Possess an understanding of the boundaries between classroom assistant and students, and able to follow the established guidelines.
