The 31st Annual GVAD Corn Party will be on August 15th this year from 11am-9pm. We will need volunteers to make this event happen, so if you would like to volunteer, please contact us! When you do, please make sure to tell us the following:

Do you have a Food Safe or Serving it Right certificate?
What times are you available to volunteer? (We need volunteers from 9am-10pm.)

Obituary: Jim Hardy

Obituary of James Malcolm Hardy

James (Jim) Malcolm Hardy passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s, at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 48 years to Paula (Montgomery). Missed father of Dean (Karen) of Lanark, ON, Monte (Cathy) of Vancouver, BC, Terry (Kara) of Bend, OR & Jonathan (Kami) of Salem, OR. Brother of the late Bob Hardy, Patricia Hardy of Kingston, ON, John (Wendy) Hardy of White Rock, BC & Judy (Sam) McLauchlan of Pointe Claire, QC. Passionate grandfather of Jasmine, Joel, Rhys, Nathan, Stephen, Arielle, the late Kendra, Esther, Michaela, Joah, Jeremiah, Jared, Lily, Nicholas, Grace, Elizabeth, Avelyn, Rochelle & Ezra. He is remembered fondly by many brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces & nephews. There will be a memorial service at the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf, 2395 Bayview Ave., North York, at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009 followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf or Deaf TEAM Ministries.
