5 Summer Jobs at GVAD

GREATER VANCOUVER ASSOCIATION OF THE DEAF

POTENTIAL JOB POSTINGS

Summer 2009 (beginning May 11, 2009)

Greater Vancouver Association of the Deaf (GVAD) has applied for federal funding to cover five (5) employment positions at its office this summer beginning on May 11, 2009. The number of weeks is expected to be 10 to 16 pending approval by Canada Summer Jobs 2009.

If you are interested in working for GVAD in any of the five (5) employment positions this coming summer, please note the following:

Students attending community colleges or universities must meet the eligibility requirements:

be between 15 and 30 years of age on his/her first day of work.
are currently registered full time at a community college or university this academic year (2008 – 08) and intend to return to school full time in the next academic year (2009 – 10).
be Canadian citizens or permanent residents or persons who have refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Be legally entitled to work in Canada under provincial legislation and regulations.
Cannot work at another full time job (defined as 30 hours or more per week) at the same time as at GVAD.

Keep in mind that these five positions are subject to funding.
