SOPOS – Sense Our Possibilities AND Viva con Agua – a charity based organisation campaigning for clean drinking water worldwide,  together are bringing you a new and exciting community event.

On Friday, August 7th Sopos and Viva con Agua are holding their very first fundraising event.
Featuring entertainment by our very own Deaf sign-singer Denise Read.

Beach Yoga Sunday

Leonarda was hoping to hold a beach yoga session on Sunday, August 9th at 8am.  Location TBA.

In memorial of Katherine Buta

Jericho Hill School class of 1970 graduate, Katherine Buta passed away Monday August 3rd, 2009.

Katherine Marie Buta had been living in Owings, Maryland with her family.

She will be remembered fondly.

BCRAD in Vancouver Pride Parade

Saturday August 2nd was hot, sunny, and rainbows were EVERYWHERE!

BCRAD was a proud participant in the Vancouver Pride Parade this year.

Over 30 people marched in the parade to show their support. Dozens more people were found in the sidelines waving their hands in support of their friends!

Deaf Pub Night

Just a reminder to all: Deaf Pub night is held on the third Friday of each month.

Everyone is welcome to bring your friends and/or family (19 years of age) and as well as hearing friends who want to come and learn American Sign Language and Deaf culture.

There are many buses and the skytrain that are close by. Or bring a designated driver!
