A gold rush period time in 1850’s, most American people came to Barkerville, BC for searching gold nuggets. We visited to the historic interest site of a ghost town of Barkerville, BC on August 2008.

UVic ASL Instructor Job Posting

The University of Victoria is seeking a talented, experienced sessional instructor to develop and teach two new courses aiming to create better understanding in the hearing world about Deaf Culture and American Sign Language. If you are that person, you will open an exciting new gateway for UVic — American Sign Language courses for credit:

ASL 100 A01 is scheduled for September -December 2009 and ASL 100 A02 for January-April 2010.

These courses will offer electives to students and members of the hearing world to increase their awareness and knowledge of Deaf Culture and its community, and provide language skills in American Sign Language.
