“CODA INTERNATIONAL WEEK”
Whereas: CODA International Inc, established in 1983, is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect Children of Deaf Adults (Codas) from around the world;
And Whereas: We celebrate the unique heritage and multicultural identities of having hearing individuals with deaf parents and pride;
And Whereas CODA international,Inc. strives to achieve this mission via conferences,retreats, publications, scholarships, resource development, and fundraising to benefit the experience Codas worldwide;
And Whereas; Members from around the world will attend the 2017 CODA-CAN International conference, in Vancouver, July13-16,2017, and it’s the first time the 32nd annual CODA International conference will be held in Canada;
And whereas: We hope everyone will experience the conference theme of” With Glowing Hearts” and celebrate your diversity, your pride, and most of all you CODA love for one another;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gregor Robertson, Mayor of the City of Vancouver, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of July 13, 2017 as
