Thanks for your email.  You student could benefit from attending a number of Deaf community events coming up.  Have you checked out www.gvad.com, and visited the calendar of events? There you will find a listing of all the upcoming activities your student can become involved in.  Also, if you become a member of GVAD you will receive invitations to attend workshops held by GVAD. 

If your student is interested in taking ASL classes, Vancouver Community College has a Deaf and hard of hearing program he may be interested in.

If you have any further questions, don&#039;t hesitate to ask.</description>

		<description>I have a student who is 27, from the UK, attending my program. He seems to have had difficulty connecting with other hearing impaired youth in Vancouver. Do you have any suggestions of how he might be able to do this?
